Summit Oil works closely with surrounding communities to foster mutual understanding and benefit.

Summit Oil plans to continue working with accredited community representatives on the following programme:

  • Sustainable community development projects (including building of primary schools, community model secondary schools, town halls; electricity facilities, micro credit facility, potable water facilities, business centers, health care centers etc.)
  • Human development (including education scholarship and skills and business development programmes)
  • Community employment opportunities for unskilled, semiskilled and skilled labour
  • Contributions to the community yearly festivals

OML 142 Commitment to Nigerian Content Development (NCD)

Summit Oil shares the vision of the Federal Government of Nigeria to transform the oil and gas industry into the economic engine for job creation and national growth by developing in-country capacity and local capabilities as provided by the Nigerian Content Monitoring and Development Act 2010.

  • Summit Oil works with local vendors & suppliers as much as possible.
